REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN SPRING 2021
If you are registering online for the first time, your badge will be held for pick up at the show pending verification of your business identification. See Show Policies for details.
If you have registered online before, the system may recognize your profile through your email and password. Proceed through the pages, making sure the information is correct and make changes where necessary. If there are no changes to your profile, you may pick up your badge at registration. If there are changes made to your profile, your badge will be held for pick up at the show pending verification of data and business identification.
Once online registration is completed, an email confirmation will be sent to the registrant. It is recommended that you print or save a copy of this confirmation. Please present a copy of the confirmation and if applicable, the appropriate two (2) pieces of business identification at the show to receive your admittance badge.
SHOW POLICIES
The Mode Show is a tradeshow for the fashion and accessories trade only. All attendees must be registered and verified with a minimum of two (2) pieces of business identification. The general public and persons under the age of 16 are not admitted. Nursing infants admitted only when carried in an infant backpack carrier. Retail staff without appropriate business identification or non-retail industry registrants will be charged $100 per person. Badges are not transferable. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attending events is not wholly without risk. In attending Mode Show, you acknowledge you are fully responsible for your own health and safety at all times.
RETAIL BUYERS
A minimum of two (2) of the following forms of Business Identification are required:
- Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)
- Copy of a Vendor’s Permit of a fashion, gift, or related retail operation
- Copy of a Business License for a fashion, gift, or related retail operation
- Invoices (wholesale purchases of fashion accessories and apparel items within the last 6 months)
- Copy of a Retail HST Remittance form with company name and account number
- Copy of a GST Remittance form with the company name and business number
- Store lease indicating type of business
- Account list (for proof of buying office)
- Credit reference sheet (list of companies you purchase from)
- Copy of store’s advertisement in print media
- Toronto Gift + Home Market current show badge with “Retail Buyer” status
For retail staff accompanying the retail buyer registering for the show, staff personnel must show a minimum of one (1) proof of employment:
- Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)
- Employee I.D. card
- Company insurance or benefit card with employee’s name
- Copy of payroll cheque or payroll printout with employee identified
- Letter from employer on company letterhead verifying status of employment
Verified retail buyers and verified retail staff may attend the show free of charge.
NEW BUSINESSES
For new businesses, registrants must provide a Letter of Intent from a lawyer, bank, or commercial real estate agent, stating the intention and progress in starting a new retail business. An industry courtesy badge will be issued for admission.
NON-RETAIL AND OTHER RELATED BUSINESSES
The following are Non-Retail / Buyer categories:
- Wholesaler
- Manufacturer
- Sales Agents and Manufacturer’s Representatives
- Media Advertising Sales
- Government Agencies, Trade and Commercial Offices
- Designers
- Consultants
Non-retail businesses may register to attend the show with a minimum of two (2) forms of business identification, and each registrant will be charged a fee of $100.
- Business Card (showing name, job title, and business address)
- Copy of business license for a fashion, gift, or related industry
- Company letterhead, brochure, or cancelled cheque
- Employee I.D. Card
- Company credit card with employee and company name identified
- CGTA’s current show badge, in the “Trade”, or “Exhibitor” categories
MEDIA / PRESS
Media accreditation is reserved for working members of the press only. This includes editors, reporters, producers, camera crews, still photographers, and industry analysts. All requests for media credentials are subject to review and approval. Media registration will open in Spring 2020.
